French Heavy Metal (the magazine)

I'd never heard of Metal Hurlant.

I had heard of Heavy Metal, the wild and weird comic magazine that told really intense sci-fi and fantasy stories. I also didn't know Heavy Metal was an American magazine published by National Lampoon. I always thought it was an English mag. Been wrong on all of this for a while.

I did know about Humanoids, the publisher of Metal Hurlant, however. I've been a fan of their Metabaron books for some time. A generational spanning story of violent space rulers. I think I picked up a bunch from Humble Bundle one year.

Anyway, it's cool to see Metal Hurlant getting so much love on Kickstarter. I've not contributed yet, but I'm thinking about it. Holidays make it tight.

If you're a fan of mature, sci-fi, and fantasy stories then I would recommend picking up Metal Hurlant.

Or if you're prefer, Heavy Metal is having a Kickstarter as well. I don't know if it's just a coincidence or what.

Either way, it's going to be good.
